Gara per il cloud nazionale degli enti pubblici

La presenza dei player americani, necessaria per la qualità della tecnologia, pone interrogativi sulla applicazione del Cloud Act americano del 2018, che prevede l’obbligo per gli operatori di fornire, in forza di un mandato delle autorità, i dati digitali in loro possesso. L'articolo e' preciso. Il costo pero' e' solo una delle variabili e puntare solo su quello e' imho riduttivo e non convincera' molti a non usare il cloud. Per eempio, come dice l'articolo, migrare fuori dal cloud richiede un team e delle conoscenze non banali. Una piccola azienda che comincia oggi puo' investire in una infrastruttura e aspettare un anno prima di poter cominciare a sviluppare? Oppure e' tentata dal fatto che puo' cominciare a sviluppare i suoi prodotti in tempo minino sul cloud? Il mercato del lavoro e' un'altra variabile: non molti sviluppatori sono interessati a fare lavoro di infrastruttura o aver a che fare con problemi di infrastruttura, se devono scegliere un'azienda che usa AWS e una che usa dei datacenter, probabilmente sceglieranno la prima. Potrebbe essere diverso per una grande azienda o la pubblica amministrazione, ma credo richieda un'opera di educazione notevole. Mi piace l'idea suggerita nell'articolo di far diventare il costo dell'infrastruttura uno dei KPI che devono essere tracciati fin dall'inizio. M. A: linuxtrent(a)freelists.org Ciao, il Committee on Scientific Library Services and Information Systems della German Research Fundation (DFG) ha pubblicato questo interessante documento sulle pratiche di tracciamento degli utenti da parte degli editori di riviste scientifiche e di servizi di indicizzazione: https://www.dfg.de/download/pdf/foerderung/programme/lis/datentracking_papi… C'è anche un appello da parte di ricercatori (per il momento soprattutto tedeschi) contro il tracciamento dei dati degli utenti che consultano o producono letteratura scientifica che chiede che gli istituti di ricerca sottoscrivano un Declaration of Research Assessment che proibisce di negoziare con aziende che usano il tracciamento degli utenti come business model: https://stoptrackingscience.eu/ I tedeschi su queste cose non scherzano ed hanno già ottenuto risultati concreti contro le pratiche bislacche degli editori scientifici con azioni simili in passato.
