The FCC's repeal of its own net neutrality rules included a provision to preempt state and municipal governments from enforcing similar rules at the local level. But the governors of Montana and New York have signed executive orders to enforce net neutrality, and several states are considering net neutrality legislation. Within a month of locating a Redditor who used machine learning to swap pictures of mainstream actresses onto the bodies of women performing in porn movies, the outlet has found people using an app based on his techniques to create videos using images of women they know. By scraping social media accounts for a full library of photos and using web apps that find porn with women who have faces that resemble the person they're basing it on, it's automating a process that some revenge porn sites had already been doing manually. The UX of AI

Qualche tempo fa, la panettiera mi ha proposto il pagamento attraverso un App del cellulare, SatisPay. Ho chiesto numi, perché avevo visto volantini di questa App anche da altri esercenti della mia città. Dopo aver ascoltato la spiegazione (che non ho successivamente approfondito), le ho fatto notare che si stava fidando dei "due ragazzi" che avevano creato l'app. Ora magari queste sono bravissime persone. Ma quando ha capito che a loro basta fallire per tenersi i 25 euro che ciascun utente gli affida, il suo entusiasmo tecnologico si è un po' smorzato Ora, non è tanto importante se in effetti vi siano garanzie di legge a tutela degli utenti di quell'app (ci sono? ne io ne la panettiera ne eravamo informati). Il punto è che la fiducia che la panettiera poneva nell'app non era coerente con la sua comprensione della App stessa, ed era anzi in contraddizione con essa. Giacomo

Re: [nexa] come preparare le competenze digitali?

Bene, dopo aver letto la proposta di Programma il Futuro al MIUR, ho realizzato di essere uno scriba. :-D E' veramente un ottimo lavoro. Francamente, sulle prime mi e' sembrato ottima fantascienza: troppo avanzato per la scuola primaria. Ma poi ho colto l'obbiettivo: una vera alfabetizzazione informatica. Ottimo. Da sempre sostengo che e' inevitabile. Ma non immaginavo le reali implicazioni sulla didattica. Mi hanno sorpreso. :-) Da sempre sostengo che siamo nell'età del bronzo dell'informatica e questo testo lo conferma e lo spiega. Solo da una formazione come questa potranno emergere le soluzioni del futuro. Di certo la chiarezza di pensiero che una forma mentis "informatica" potrebbe fornire alle prossime generazioni, sarebbe utile in tutti i contesti della vita. Temo che sarà un impresa titanica formare una generazione di insegnanti affinché a loro volta possano insegnare l'informatica senza renderla una materia rigida e odiosa. Ma e' un percorso fondamentale e direi anche urgente, se e' vero che in altri paesi questo progetto e' già realtà. Non ci saranno più molti programmatori, nel futuro dei nostri figli e dei nostri nipoti, perché programmare sarà come scrivere oggi: una conoscenza diffusa. Mi sento un dinosauro, ma spero di vedere presto questo futuro. Vorrei davvero che le mie figlie potessero frequentare una scuola pubblica dove si insegna l'informatica in questo modo.
