<https://attivissimo.blogspot.com/2021/10/perche-questi-codici-qr-sembrano-g…> Sto ricevendo numerose segnalazioni di codici QR come quello qui accanto, che le applicazioni di verifica dei “green pass” considerano validi ma che sono intestati ad Adolf Hitler. Provate a scansionarli con VerificaC19 o con l’app svizzera equivalente, CovidCheck: restituiscono HITLER come cognome, ADOLF come nome e 01.01.1900 come data di nascita. Cosa più importante, queste app di verifica li accettano come validi. A prima vista sembrerebbe essere una gravissima violazione dell’affidabilità del sistema dei green pass o certificati Covid digitali, che minerebbe alla base la fiducia nel sistema di verifica. In teoria, infatti, soltanto gli enti sanitari autorizzati hanno le chiavi crittografiche private che consentono di generare green pass validi e rendono impossibile alterare un green pass esistente immettendovi per esempio un nome differente. Ma affermazioni straordinarie richiedono prove straordinarie, che per ora scarseggiano. Questo è un altro codice QR (segnalato da @reversebrain) che fornisce lo stesso risultato, anche qui con il nome e cognome interamente in maiuscolo: Questo, invece, risulta valido e intestato a Adolf Hitler (in minuscolo tranne le iniziali), con data di nascita 01.01.1930: Secondo le prime analisi (grazie @fuomag9 e alla sua app Green Pass Decoder), l’ente emittente indicato nei primi due codici QR sarebbe la CNAM francese (Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie), ma questo dato non farebbe parte di quelli protetti dalla crittografia, per cui potrebbe essere stato alterato. Se così fosse, chiunque potrebbe generarsi un green pass e l’intero sistema sarebbe da buttare e rifare da capo (o almeno sarebbe necessario revocare tutte le chiavi private attuali e cambiarle) e in ogni caso il green pass avrebbe perso ogni credibilità presso l’opinione pubblica. Stefano Zanero, docente di computer security e informatica forense al Politecnico di Milano, ha commentato pubblicamente in questo modo: “che si sia trattato di un leak o quantomeno di un abuso di chiavi di firma non è che sia discutibile, è abbastanza evidente.” 2021/10/27 1:25. VerificaC19 non riconosce più come validi i codici QR mostrati qui sopra, o perlomeno questo è quello che dice l’app sul mio telefono Android, mentre altre persone mi dicono che la loro app continua a ritenerli validi: L’app svizzera CovidCheck, invece, li riconosce ancora validi. --- Se scoprite qualcosa di più, segnalatemelo nei commenti; aggiornerò questo articolo man mano che avrò informazioni più dettagliate e sicure.

Nello stesso modo il finger printing è solo uno degli attacchi resi possibili dall'esecuzione automatica di codice personalizzato controllato da terze parti. Devo dare un'occhiata al codice di JShelter, ma assumendo che funzioni perfettamente ha comunque un limite: scarica il codice JS e questo può essere sufficiente per la tracciatura. Per il momento io utilizzo uMatrix [4] o uBlock Origin [5] (in modalità expert) insieme a LocalCDN [6], talvolta via Tor (di cui NoScript è la prima cosa che disinstallo) ed appena potrò dare un'occhiata al sorgente, magari aggiungerò anche JShelter. Prima o poi vorrei trovare il tempo per mettere su un tutorial o una guida su come usare questi tool insieme per minimizzare i dati diffusi durante la navigazione web, ma il problema è che si tratta di soluzioni che cercano di minimizzare i danni in un contesto estremamente ostile. E' un po' come scrivere una guida per finire Doom in modalità Nightmere! senza cheatcodes [7]: è... complicato [8]! Per quanto ben fatte siano le armi disponibili, non è possibile usarle in modo efficace senza comprendere un minimo il funzionamento del web. Contrariamente a Doom, però, non è divertente e le ferite (i dati sottratti) rimangono per sempre ed hanno effetti seri nella vita reale. Aside from a €50 million fine <https://www.politico.eu/article/france-hits-google-with-e50-million-fine-fo…> that France's privacy regulator imposed on Google in January, there have been no fines or remedies levied at a U.S. giant since the GDPR came into effect. And the two nations most directly responsible for policing the tech sector — Ireland and Luxembourg, where the largest tech firms have their European headquarters — have yet to wrap up a single investigation of any magnitude concerning a U.S. firm. Now the Irish regulator which oversees Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter, among other giants, says that its first decision will not be delivered until early next year, adding to previous delays. Probes take time because Europe's law is untested and cases need to stand up to the scrutiny of all 28 EU nations, as well as in national court. Ireland and Luxembourg have faced special scrutiny because so many U.S. tech companies have set up shop in those tiny nations, which have actively courted them thanks to a mix of low corporate tax rates and business-friendly regulation. Those close relationships have created a strong degree of economic dependency, particularly in the Irish case <https://www.politico.eu/interactive/ireland-blocks-the-world-on-data-privac…>, which raises questions as to whether these countries are best suited to regulating Big Tech. Now, regulators in other countries are speaking out about their doubts. Hamburg's data protection authority says that the current “one-stop-shop” system, in which many major investigations are carried out by authorities in Dublin or Luxembourg, creates serious bottlenecks and an "unsatisfactory" situation for millions of web users. "After nearly one and a half year we must concede that we have a huge problem with the enforcement of cross border processing especially by globally acting companies," a spokesperson for the authority, one of 16 in Germany, told POLITICO, referring to cases that concern web users in more than one country. “It is absolutely unsatisfactory to see that the biggest alleged data protection violations of the last 15 months with millions of individuals [concerned] are far away from being sanctioned." Luxembourg’s regulator declined numerous requests for comment. Irish privacy chief Helen Dixon insisted in an interview that the delays have to do with the complexity of enforcing a new law. [...]
