Prima o poi scrivero' un articoletto su "la tragedia degli informatici" :) tendono (tendiamo) a pensare in modo algoritmico per assoluti. devo fare il compito x; dato che il sistema sara aggirabile, avra' un margine di inefficacia, ecc. e non potra' assicurare di raggiungere l'obiettivo, il sistema non funziona. quindi e' inutile. questo e' uno schema ricorrente. secondo questo schema, pero', sarebbe inutile mettere limiti di velocita', dato che vengono superati. nel caso specifico, potrei parafrasare "My problem with contact tracing STAFF is that they have absolutely no value," ... "I'm not even talking about the privacy concerns, I mean the efficacy. Does anybody think this will do something useful? ... This is just something governments want to do for the hell of it. To me, it's just HEALTHCARE PEOPLE DOING things because they don't know what else to do." This is a classic identification problem, and efficacy depends on two things: false positives and false negatives. False positives: Any EXPERT will USE a precise definition of a contact: let's say it's less than six feet for more than ten minutes. The false positive rate is the percentage of contacts that don't result in transmissions. This will be because of several reasons. One, the INTERVIEWED PERSONS just aren't accurate enough to REMEMBER EXACTLY every contact. Two, the INTERVIEWED PEOPLE won't be aware of any extenuating circumstances, like TOUCHING SURFACESE. And three, not every contact results in transmission; the disease has some transmission rate that's less than 100% (and I don't know what that is). False negatives: This is the rate the EXPERT fails to register a contact when an infection occurs. This also will be because of several reasons. One, INTERVIEWED PERSONS fail to REMEMBER MEETING SOMEONE. Two, transmissions that occur from people who ARE NOT INTERVIEWD. And three, not every transmission is a result of that precisely defined contact -- the virus sometimes travels further. ciao, s. Grazie. La lettura delle relazioni è molto interessante. Sarà utile confrontare le decisioni che verranno prese in relazione alle eventuali modalità di utilizzo dell’App con le raccomandazioni prodotte dai diversi gruppi di lavoro. He described how passengers landing in Moscow were stopped by medics and photographed three times while being tested for the virus. They were then entered into a quarantine watch-list. The system can also be used for contact tracing, allowing police to follow an infected person’s movements over previous days, said Artyom Kukharenko, the head of research and development at NtechLab, the primary developer for the system. Kukharenko said the system can complete a search in under 10 seconds and that it largely works even when people are wearing face masks by identifying them by their eye line. The company soon hopes to roll out a function analyzing silhouettes, he said, meaning it could spot large gatherings and also automatically detect when people are standing too close together. Since March, Moscow’s authorities said the system has allowed them to catch several hundred people violating quarantine. Other Russian cities are also introducing similar systems. [...]
