Come è possibile che Google e Microsoft possano partecipare a Gaia-X? Ci tengono per le^W^W in pugno. I monopoli di cui parli danneggiavano l'economia e la democrazia statunitense. Questi anche, ma ordini di grandezza meno di quanto non danneggino il resto del mondo, sottraendogli risorse a vantaggio degli USA. È dunque estremamente improbabile che vengano distrutti. Nessuna potenza militare ed economica rinuncerebbe mai a tanto potere. Al massimo cambieranno un paio di ragioni sociali, tireranno su qualche articolo per salvare la faccia alla Commissione Europea etc... ma continueranno a tenerci... in pugno. A meno che non siamo noi a liberarci da questa stretta. Farà male. Tanto. Ma l'alternativa è lasciarle per sempre (re)stringere a loro... le nostre libertà. Giacomo

penso che tu abbia ragione ma che il vento stia cambiando come ebbi a scrivere piu' volte, ammiro gli USA che' riescono a trovare al loro interno le energie per rimediare alle storture, con il fatto che, grazie alla common law, riescono a reagire anche in tempi piu' brevi dell'europa. sostenevo che probabilmente la soluzione sarebbe arrivata prima negli USA (forse lo ho scritto anche in Capitalismo Immateriale, non ricordo)... ciao!, s. L’acquisizione di concorrenti e/o la loro esclusione dal mercato è una costante del capitalismo americano. La Standard Oil di Rockefeller arrivò, alla fine dell'Ottocento, a controllare il 90% delle raffinerie americane fino a quando, nel 1911, la Corte Suprema dichiarando la violazione delle leggi antitrust, ne ordinò lo scioglimento e la suddivisione in una trentina di società. Forse se adesso la Corte Suprema fosse composta dai membri di allora anche i GAFAM rischierebbero la stessa fine. Quello che mi "impressionava" non era (solo) la vocazione monopolistica, ma quanto il numero delle acquisizioni e, quindi, la quantità di liquidità di cui dispongono.
