gent.me/mi segnalo iniziativa di interesse http://www.garanteprivacy.it/web/guest/home/docweb/-/docweb-display/docweb/… *I Garanti del mondo a Big G: i "Google Glass" rispettino la privacy dei cittadini* *Le Autorità di garanzia scrivono a Larry Page: subito chiarimenti e l'avvio di un confronto.* Quali informazioni raccoglie Google attraverso i "Glass", i famosi occhiali a realtà aumentata? Con chi le condivide? Come intende utilizzarle? Come viene garantito il rispetto delle legislazioni sulla privacy? Come pensa Google di risolvere il problematico aspetto della raccolta di informazioni di persone che, a loro insaputa, vengono "riprese" e "registrate" tramite i Glass? Sono solo alcune delle questioni che le Autorità di protezione dati di diversi continenti riunite nel GPEN (Global Privacy Enforcement Network), hanno messo nero su bianco in una lettera<http://www.garanteprivacy.it/garante/doc.jsp?ID=2485687>inviata alla multinazionale californiana sullo sviluppo di Google Glass, una tecnologia in via di sperimentazione legata all'elaborazione elettronica dei dati, indossabile sotto forma di occhiali, che comprende una microcamera, un microfono ed un dispositivo Gps con accesso ad Internet. Le Autorità per la privacy, tra le quali il Garante italiano, hanno espresso preoccupazione riguardo all'impatto privacy che può derivare dall'uso dei Google Glass e forti timori sul possibile futuro uso di sistemi di "riconoscimento facciale". Le Autorità hanno quindi chiesto alla società un sollecito riscontro sulle implicazioni privacy legate allo sviluppo di questa nuova tecnologia e sulle misure che intende prendere per garantire il rispetto della vita privata in tutti i Paesi del mondo. Google è stata invitata ad un confronto, attraverso incontri e dimostrazioni pratiche sull'uso dei "super-occhiali". Nonostante l'esigenza più volte affermata che la privacy sia parte integrante della progettazione di ogni prodotto e servizio prima del lancio, nessuna Autorità di protezione dati è stata sentita dalla multinazionale e le uniche informazioni di cui dispongono i Garanti, derivano in gran parte dai media o dalla pubblicizzazione del dispositivo ad opera della stessa Google. cordiali saluti Mauro Alovisio

A queste caratteristiche si aggiungono inoltre ulteriori elementi che si affiancano ai tradizionali modelli di finanziamento: il dott. *Alessandro Bollettinari* illustrerà a tal proposito gli aspetti innovativi del crowdfunding, anche alla luce dei recenti interventi normativi, evidenziando inoltre le opportunità per *attività di ricerca scientifica, sociale e culturale*. Nell'ambito del crowdfunding, un elemento decisivo è costituito dalle modalità con cui avviene la raccolta dei finanziamenti, in particolare la nascita di piattaforme online in grado di far incontrare domanda e offerta. Benché tali piattaforme siano prevalentemente generaliste e promuovano progetti appartenenti a diverse categorie creative, come ad esempio Kickstarter <http://www.kickstarter.com/> e Indiegogo <http://www.indiegogo.com/>, esistono piattaforme tematiche dedicate specificatamente all'arte e alla cultura. Peoplefund e il suo progetto WeDidThis <http://www.peoplefund.it/arts/>, ad esempio, sono stati capaci di raccogliere, in poco tempo, più di 1.600 donazioni e finanziare 40 progetti in campo letterario e artistico. Fund For Culture <http://www.fundforculture.org/> promuove invece la realizzazione di una piattaforma di crowdfunding che mette in connessione coloro che intendono nello specifico sviluppare progetti di natura culturale e coloro che invece intendono sostenerli. Edward Snowden, a young security contractor, has come down on one side of that tussle by leaking documents showing that the National Security Agency (NSA) spied on millions of Americans’ phone records and on the internet activity of hundreds of millions of foreigners. One is a court order telling Verizon, a telecoms company, to hand over “metadata”, such as the duration, direction and location of subscribers’ calls. That evening, two men showed up at his cozy farmhouse. They bore a peculiar red device, a sphere slightly bigger than a volleyball perched on a short collar, and attached it to his roof.
