A fine novembre si terrà il prossimo round di negoziati ACTA, che include anche regolamentazioni 'tre botte e via', responsabilità degli ISP sui contenuti, ulteriori restrizioni DRM, ecc. As of last week, OWL 2 <http://www.w3.org/TR/owl2-overview/> – a standard web ontology language – was formally recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium <http://www.w3.org/> (W3C) as part of their Semantic Web activity. Science Commons’ <http://sciencecommons.org/> Alan Ruttenberg <http://sciencecommons.org/about/whoweare/ruttenberg/> has been diligently working with the OWL working group <http://www.w3.org/2007/OWL/wiki/OWL_Working_Group> specifying OWL 2 at the W3C to push this recommendation through. (Ruttenberg is the co-chair with Ian Horrocks at Oxford.) The W3C says that the transition to OWL 2 is a reflection of user experience with OWL, and the need to enable seamless integration and scalability. In particolare i condivisori di note coperte da diritto d’autore sui network peer-to-peer sono gli stessi che spendono fino a 85 euro al mese per acquistare musica: ben 36 euro in più rispetto a chi non scarica illecitamente. October 30, 2009, 6:35 am Drupal Moves Into the White House By Ashlee Vance The White House Web site has caught a case of Drupal. In the Internet world, Drupal is not as bad as it sounds. The open-source software package helps people create and manage their Web sites. And this week, a new WhiteHouse.gov site arrived that had been built via the Drupal code. To some, the White House shift to Drupal from a proprietary software package represented a serious seal of approval for open-source software. “While open source is already widespread throughout the government, its adoption by the White House will almost certainly give permission for much wider uptake,” wrote Tim O’Reilly, who publishes books and holds conferences about open-source software.
