"L'Agcom non ferma la pirateria digitale che anzi aumenta". Colpa dell'Effetto Streisand

by Fulvio Sarzana

I SITI oscurati vengono visti e cliccati di più. Come è possibile?

Berkman Center Webcast live oggi ore 18 - The Web We Want & The Ed We Want

by Giuseppe Futia

The Web We Want & The Ed We Want https://cyber.law.harvard.edu/events/luncheon/2015/07/Reich <http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/events/luncheon/2014/06/sigal> *with Justin Reich* Today, 6.00 pm Webcast live: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/interactive/webcast http://nexa.polito.it/berkman-webcast-live The past decade has seen a dramatic decline in user agency all across the Web, but especially in education. The Aughts saw the budding of a golden age of user-produced media on the Web. But these buds never fully flowered, over-shadowed by the development of proprietary platforms like Facebook in the social sector and learning management systems in the educational sector. Thinkers like Anil Dash have lamented "The Web We Lost," and groups like the Indieweb movement and the Reclaim Innovation movements are working to revitalize a user-owned and user-produced Web. In this talk, Justin Reich will highlight some of the exciting innovations within education that seek to put students and learners in charge of their online lives. Experiments are taking place in scattered courses and across entire colleges to raise a generation of learners ready to stake out their own claims on the Web, and to take back the means of production and sharing. About Justin Justin Reich is an educational researcher broadly interested in the future of learning in a networked world. His professional work is motivated by a desire to transform the architecture of education away from centralized, hierarchical models of teaching and towards distributed, networked models of learning. He studies, designs, and advocates for learning systems that shift education from something done to learners to something done with learners, from channels of dissemination to webs of sharing. Justin is the Richard L. Menschel HarvardX Research Fellow, based in the Office of the President and Provost at Harvard University, where he explores the possibilities and limits of open online learning. He is a Fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society and a visiting lecturer in MIT’s Scheller Teacher Education program. He is also the co-founder of EdTechTeacher, a professional learning consultancy devoted to helping teachers leverage technology to create student-centered, inquiry-based learning environments. He earned his doctorate from Harvard University, where he led the Distributed Collaborative Learning Communities project, a Hewlett Foundation funded initiative to examine how social media are used in K-12 classrooms. His dissertation, The State of Wiki Usage in U.S. K-12 Schools, drew upon a population of 180,000 education-related wikis as well as over 100 interviews and observations with wiki-using teachers to measure the degree to which wikis supported deeper learning in classrooms across the United States. Justin is a co-author of Best Ideas for Teaching with Technology: A Practical Guide for Teachers by Teachers, and his academic work has been published in Educational Researcher, Social Education, Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education, and other venues. His opinion writings have been published in the Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, The Providence Journal, and other publications. He blogs for Education Week at EdTechResearcher. Justin has taught in a wide variety of settings. He was a camp counselor and trip leader at Camp Chewonki, a lifeguard and CPR instructor with the American Red Cross, a search and rescue instructor with the Blue Ridge Mountain Rescue Group, a wilderness medicine instructor with Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities, and an international expedition leader with World Challenge Expeditions. He taught at the Shackleton school, an expedition-based school, and he taught freshman world history and electives for seniors at the Noble and Greenough School, where he also coached wrestling and co-led the outdoor activities group. Justin served as Outstanding Educator in Residence for the Academy of Singapore Teachers, a Digital Media and Learning Summer Fellow with the MacArthur Foundation, and a member of the 2012 class of Emerging Leaders for the International Society for Technology in Education. He is a member of the Digital Learning Advisory Council for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and serves on the advisory boards of the Chewonki Foundation and the Fay School.

Online Copyright Enforcement: The effects of the administrative blocking orders on piracy by Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM)". Torrents, Linking and Movie & TV Series Streaming Web Sites One year 2014-2015.

by Fulvio Sarzana

"Copyright Administrative enforcement through ISP, without Judicial review, by Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM) , generates an enormous increased access to the singles protected works and to Blocked sites,." It's the conclusion reached by the distinguished Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Padua, Italy, Giorgio Clemente, who analyzed, within a year (2014-2015), the measures taken by AGCOM (the authority of the Communications) against copyright piracy The independent report, contains graphs and statistics, showing the monthly access through Search Engines to the every copyright works inhibited through ISP, by AGCOM,. The Report analyzes the access by Italian users, before, during and after Communications Authority Orders The Survey is focused on Torrents, Linking and Streaming Web Sites, for the dissemination of works protected by copyright, in the Movie and audiovisual sector, inhibited through the Italian ISP, by AGCOM, from March 31, 2014, to April 10, 2015, showing that: - In almost all cases, the Web sites inhibited by AGCOM (see example CINEBLOG-01.NET, CB01.TV, TANTIFILM.COM and ROBINFILM.ME) it can be said, from the graphs and statistics examined, that the sites linked to the same identity of those inhibited, have seen an increase in unique hits from users coming from search engines. - In a few cases, the accesses to the web sites was stable compared to the run-up to the order of inhibition by AGCOM - In some cases the increase has had enormous proportions, as for CINEBLOG01.LI and TANTIFILM.NET. (Respectively from 106,000 to 2,294,000 accesses, and from 21,000 to 553,000 users). - Ease of access to the sites inhibited, favored by the popularity of the site, also obtained by the news published by AGCOM, has helped to increase access to sites that were inhibited - The efforts of the Italian ISP (must obey the provisions of AGCOM) are completely thwarted. - The expenditure of resources and energy leaning intermediaries network seems totally unjustified, and so the activities of the Authority in terms of copyright, given the obvious ineffectiveness of the measures taken. The activity carried out by AGCOM costs several million every year, between the costs required of providers, the cost of the bureaucratic structure, the activities of management of external Foundation, the communications campaign and so on - In many cases brought to the attention of the Authority there is an overlap with the activities of Police and Public Prosecutors, that already operate placing inhibitions access to the same sites. The number of measures of the authority from March 2014 to April 2015, then in a year from its beginning, was four times lower than the Italian judiciary had done against sites containing Copyright works, in a single day, in December 2014, and Judicial System has obviously any cost for the Collettivity - The same reports are posted on the website of AGCOM instances visible to all users of the network, which specifies not only the domain names of Web sites as well as the URLs of works considered, favoring the spread of the same also works after inhibition After inhibition, in fact, the Web sites that maintain the URL of the work this instance, with a simple "URL Make-up",as in the following example, taken out of DDA / 250 of January 21, 2015 Follow on http://www.lidis.it/en/online-copyright-enforcement-the-effects-of-the-admin istrative-blocking-orders-on-piracy-by-italian-communications-regulatory-aut hority-agcom-torrents-linking-and-movie-tv-ser.htm/ --- Questa e-mail è stata controllata per individuare virus con Avast antivirus. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
