[Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this mail] *35th International Teletraffic Congress* *3-5 October, 2023, Turin* *Website: https://itc35.itc-conference.org/* /_*CALL FOR PAPERS*_/ /The International Teletraffic Congress (ITC) 35, to be held October 3-5, 2023 at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, is the 35th edition of this international flagship congress in the field of networking science and practice. ITC was founded back in 1955 by enthusiastic scientists and engineers who were willing to deploy networks in a holistic way. Since then, it has established a multi-decade tradition as the primary forum for presenting and discussing the latest technical advances in the broad areas of teletraffic models, network systems, and measurements. ITC 35 solicits cutting-edge papers spanning both theory and experimentation in all areas of networking, ranging from traffic engineering and control with application also to emerging softwarized/virtualized network paradigms, up to innovative wireless scenarios brought about by the emergence of B5G and IoT systems. ITC 35 especially encourages original contributions which bridge the gap between performance modeling and real-life operational aspects, including works which leverage measurement data to provide a better understanding of the wired and wireless networks’ operation under realistic conditions. This is achieved via: • The establishment of compounding technological infrastructure to expand the reach of Israeli authorities’ control. As checkpoints govern the ability of Palestinians in H2––the area of Hebron under military rule by the Israeli Civil Administration––to travel outside their homes, Israel is able to contain Palestinians geographically, using domination by way of military force and surveillance tools such as Red Wolf and Blue Wolf to deter resistance. • Surveillance as part of a coercive environment aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave areas of strategic interest to Israeli authorities, by making their ordinary lives unbearable. As described in soldiers’ testimony used in this report, arbitrary searches, registrations and lookups facilitated by the use of Blue Wolf have interfered with the daily activities of Palestinians in, for example, the H2 and Silwan areas. As communities resist the expansion of settlements and the demolition of Palestinian homes, their participation in protests in turn exposes them to further surveillance. [...] Given the sensitive nature of the research, risk of leaks, and risks posed to Amnesty researchers, a decision was made from the beginning of the research not to engage directly with Israeli offcials. Nexiane/i, integro le notizie circolate in lista sulla Dichiarazione dei "ministri digitali" al G7 con qualche ulteriore indicazione al mio rientro da Tokyo, dopo aver moderato venerdì 28 il panel sulla governance dell'intelligenza artificiale all'incontro ufficiale pubblico/privato al G7 sulla trasformazione digitale svoltosi a Shibukawa, Gunma. (Un sunto con foto di gruppo qui: https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20230428/p2g/00m/0bu/064000c) La Dichiarazione dei "ministri digitali" riprende ai punti 34 e 35 il documento preparato dalla Task Force predisposta dal governo giapponese, ossia i "Principles for a Society Based on Cyber-Physical Systems" che trovate qui https://app.box.com/s/weqvhojo9lfpr2flpqoeab4rptubrig0 *La Task Force* -- messa a punto tre mesi fa -- *comprende due Garanti * *Nexiani*: Joseph Drexl e chi vi scrive. Diciamo che 1/6 della Task Force giapponese è stata Nexiana! I Principles della Task Force, come detto, sono ripresi al punto 34: "We acknowledge the need for a possible common approach on this agenda based on the input by the Taskforce on Governance for a Digitalized Society with a view to enabling human-centred, sustainable, and resilient societies by benefit of technologies." Il punto 35 richiama anche il panel da me moderato: "We also acknowledge the call of the multistakeholder community at the G7 Digital Transformation Summit held on 28 April 2023 where they discussed with G7 Ministers the key issues of digital transformation including artificial intelligence, digital infrastructures, and agile governance based on the delivery of Governance Principles for a Society based on Cyber Physical Systems by the Taskforce." Non dico ovviamente che abbiamo risolto tutti i nostri problemi, ma piuttosto, che i Principi e la Dichiarazione sono interessanti al fine di affrontare le vistose differenze che esistono anche in un gruppo ristretto come il G7.
