Cari tutti, vi scrivo per segnalarvi che a Roma, il 14 luglio, si parlerà di diritti d’autore nell’era digitale nell’ambito dell’International Promoters Meeting (IPM, www.ipmrome.com) la grande kermesse internazionale che riunisce tutti gli operatori dell’industria musicale e dell’intrattenimento. La conferenza 'It’s All About Rights, Right? A Worldwide Copyright Picture in the digital age’ - ‘E’ una solo una questione di diritti, giusto? Il dibattito - di cui sarò la moderatrice – vedrà tra i suoi relatori il Vice Direttore Generale della SIAE Manlio Mallia e metterà a confronto giuristi, autori, artisti e protagonisti del mondo economico dello spettacolo e dell’intrattenimento (imprenditori del mercato musicale, promoter ecc.), per fare il punto sulle nuove frontiere del diritto d’autore e sul futuro delle Società di Autori nell’era digitale. “Nell’era dei download gratuiti e liberi, quale società d’autore è al passo con i tempi? Quale è il futuro della SIAE e delle altre Società di Autori dopo l’emanazione della Direttiva europea sulla gestione collettiva del diritto d'autore?”. È passato meno di un anno dall'uscita del libro "The International Free and Open Source Software Law Book" nel quale con l'amico e collega Carlo Piana avevo firmato il capitolo relativo al contesto italiano. Ora da quel capitolo (scritto in inglese) abbiamo tratto anche un articolo che, oltre ad essere in italiano e quindi risultare più facilmente fruibile dall'audience locale, ha un maggior livello di approfondimento delle questioni dottrinali dal punto di vista della scienza giuridica italiana. Un progetto ideato da In collaborazione con BIG DIVE L'opportunità dei BIG DATA Dal 1 al 26 ottobre 2012 - Casa del Pingone, via della Basilica, 13 (TO) Il Consorzio TOP-IX organizza nel mese di ottobre BIG DIVE: 4 settimane intensive dedicate a formare developer, data scientist e visualization designer, figure professionali sempre più richieste dal mercato. Il "Web of Data" sta crescendo a ritmi vertiginosi e ha preso il via una nuova corsa all'oro, alla ricerca di un alto livello di conoscenze tecniche per operare in maniera concreta in questo nuovo settore. Grandi compagnie, PMI e startups hanno capito l'alto valore che può essere estratto dai BIG DATA e stanno investendo tempo, energie e molte risorse per formare una nuova classe di professionisti pronti a essere coinvolti nel processo produttivo. Le tre aree chiave in cui operare sono Development, Visualization e Data Science, competenze che difficilmente si ritrovano in un'unica figura professionale. BIG DIVE vuole colmare questo "gap". BIG DIVE si propone infatti di sostenere la crescita di una nuova generazione di sviluppatori, attraverso tre percorsi di studi interdisciplinari, che coinvolgeranno 20 candidati. Ai partecipanti saranno fornite competenze nei tre settori, per formare figure trasversali, capaci di analizzare e usare i BIG DATA con una visione complessiva.
