Can Bitcoin Be Banned by the Indian Government? Given the lack of existing legal and regulatory analysis on this issue in India, we greatly welcome comments on this issue. Bitcoin: Legal Treatment under the Current Indian Legal and Regulatory Regime This paper is an effort to examine the legal basis and treatment of Bitcoin under the current legal and regulatory regime in India. It seeks to explore whether Indian laws and regulations as they stand today would even consider Bitcoin as 'currency' and which regulations would govern different kinds of Bitcoin transactions. In this paper we shall first give a brief description of Bitcoin and then move on to what its legal treatment would most likely be which would then lead us to examine which regulations would most likely apply to various Bitcoin transactions. Turkish MPs endorse internet control law Despite opposition from press freedom groups, Turkey's parliament approved a bill tightening control of Internet. Turkey's parliament has adopted a new Internet bill roundly criticised as an assault by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on freedom of expression, access to information and investigative journalism. After hours of debate, the measures were adopted late on Wednesday where Erdogan's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) dominates with 319 of the 550 seats. The text notably permits a government agency, the Telecommunications Communications Presidency (TIB), to block access to websites without court authorisation, if they are deemed to violate privacy or with content seen as "insulting". The legislation would also force Internet providers to keep records on Web users' activities for two years and make them available to authorities when requested, without notifying the users. Google Reaches Deal to Settle European Antitrust Case By MARK SCOTTFEB. 5, 2014 LONDON --- Google reached a deal with European antitrust authorities on Wednesday, ending a lengthy competition investigation into the American tech company's practices that could have led to billions of dollars in penalties. Under the agreement, Google would pay no fine and there would be no finding of wrongdoing. Such a finding could have limited its future activities on the Continent. The discussions have centered on whether Google abused its dominance in Internet search and advertising to favor its own products and services in search results. The agreement would require Google to give rivals more prominence in its promoted results. Some competitors said the settlement doesn't go far enough, adding that they may take their case to the European Court of Justice. L'Agenzia delle Entrate ha annunciato in apposito bando la dismissione di circa NOVECENTO pc a favore di enti non-profit e scuole pubbliche, che possono riconvertirli a Linux o a sistemi operativi meno esigenti.
