"We want all of our customers worldwide to feel they are at liberty to communicate with each other as they see fit. Vodafone says British law currently prevents it from sharing even general information on wiretapping. Agcom e regolamento ammazza-web: non è ammesso dibattito

Il tema del regolamento sul diritto dautore continua a dividere. Questoggi una scena incredibile è stata <http://webtv.camera.it/archivio?id=4515&position=0> ripresa dalla webtv oggi alla Camera dei Deputati. Era in programma laudizione del presidente Cardani sul contestatissimo regolamento sul diritto dautore, che da allAgcom il diritto di disabilitare laccesso a siti sospettati di violare il diritto dautore, senza lordine preventivo della magistratura. Audizione che il Presidente Cardani avrebbe dovuto svolgere da tempo, per ragioni di opportunità, prima del varo del regolamento il 12 dicembre scorso. Ebbene alle 14:35 ancora non erano stati aperti i lavori, che si badi bene erano in diretta sulla web tv della Camera, e, quindi, visibili da tutti. Quando il Presidente di turno Galan (Forza Italia) comincia i lavori scusandosi ed addebitando il ritardo a proprie responsabilità, per poi congratularsi con lAgcom per il regolamento (prima di qualsiasi relazione e dibattito sul punto). <http://www.agenparl.it/articoli/news/politica/20131211-agcom-galan-approvar e-regolamento-per-contrastare-pirateria-online> Galan è da sempre un acceso sostenitore del Regolamento Agcom. Tutti i parlamentari presenti ed i soggetti collegati attraverso la web tv della Camera, si attendevano, come avviene in tutte le Audizioni, ed in qualsiasi Paese civile, le domande ed il dibattito. Ed invece no. Galan, senza alcun motivo plausibile ha deciso che non vi erano spazi per interventi, rinviando ad un futuro e totalmente improbabile dibattito una discussione necessaria. La Circolare illustra, attraverso l’esposizione di un percorso metodologico e di una serie di esempi, le modalità e i criteri per l’effettuazione della valutazione comparativa delle soluzioni prevista dal Codice per l’Amministrazione Digitale all’art. 68. Le citate Linee guida sono indirizzate alle pubbliche amministrazioni elencate nell’art. 2, comma 2 del d.lgs. 7 marzo 2005, n. 82 che devono acquisire prodotti e soluzioni software da utilizzare nell’ambito dei propri compiti istituzionali. Net neutrality is half-dead: Court strikes down FCC’s anti-blocking rules Ruling lets ISPs "block and discriminate against customers’ communications." by Jon Brodkin <http://arstechnica.com/author/jon-brodkin/> - Jan 14 2014, 4:52pm CET The Federal Communication Commission's net neutrality rules were partially struck down today by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which said the Commission did not properly justify its anti-discrimination and anti-blocking rules. Those rules in the Open Internet Order, adopted in 2010 <http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2010/12/its-here-fcc-adopts-net-neutrali…>, forbid ISPs from blocking services or charging content providers for access to the network. Verizon challenged the entire order <http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/09/verizons-bid-to-kill-network-neu…> and got a big victory in today's ruling. While it could still be appealed to the Supreme Court, the order today would allow pay-for-prioritization deals that could let Verizon or other ISPs charge companies like Netflix for a faster path to consumers. The court left part of the Open Internet Order intact, however, saying that the FCC still has "general authority" to regulate how broadband providers treat traffic. I think this is a positive side effect of the Creative Commons revolution (started just by Lessig). Now reuser have no excuses for not respecting the licenses of the images published on the web. In the balance of the summer, the intern's time will be split between Teaching with Things, an initiative to explore the use of multimedia to document, annotate, and remix objects in Harvard's libraries and museums for teaching; and a project documenting urban ecology. Summer interns working on this effort may be asked to help curate and expand a shared repository of materials for the projects research groups, research and edit country case studies and use cases, create a synthesizing white paper, and coordinate efforts with partners and colleagues. /Privacy Tools for Sharing Research Data/ The Privacy Tools for Sharing Research Data project is a collaboration between three Harvard institutions - the Center for Research on Computation & Society (CRCS) <http://crcs.seas.harvard.edu/>at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) <http://www.iq.harvard.edu/>, and the Berkman Center.
