Direi che questo rende quanto meno più che legittima la protesta sulla VQR legata alla questione sugli scatti stipendiali legata al possesso del codice ORCID e all'invio delle pubblicazioni, guidata dal suo collega Ferrero (lo avete informato in merito, immagino). Mi pare che a questo punto sarebbe legittimo il rifiuto di dotarsi del codice (per chi ancora non lo avesse), fermo restando che credo che le conseguenze siano ben più ampie, come giustamente osservato. So it is with computing power, once the province of mainframes and personal computers, and now moving into the “cloud”—networks of data centres that use the internet to supply all kinds of services, from e-mail and social networks to data storage and analysis. The rise of cloud computing is rapid, inexorable and causing huge upheaval in the tech industry. The old guard is suffering: this week’s $67 billion merger between Dell and EMC, makers of computers and storage devices respectively, was a marriage forced by the rise of the cloud (see article). Disruptive newcomers are blooming: if Amazon’s cloud-computing unit were a stand-alone public company, it would probably be worth almost as much as Dell and EMC combined. Scusate, ho premuto invio prima di terminare. Dicevo, arriverà anche per i privati? Nel senso che l'articolo parla di polizza appunto per famiglie, quindi non solo per imprese, ma se si va a vedere, mentre la polizza per le imprese è molto completa, quella per i privati lo è meno. Naturalmente è ovvio che le imprese paghino premi più alti ed abbiano esigenze diverse, ma, anche proporzionalmente alle diverse esigenze, mi sembra molto meno completa Saluti D.

As the first successful blockchain asset, a bitcoin has variously been considered a commodity, currency and personal property by regulatory agencies, courts and policymakers. This flexible interpretation has created confusion over jurisdictional boundaries and the application of commercial law concepts. Compounding this confusion is the reliance on insufficient analogies used to describe aspects of these systems like "wallets", "coins," and "miners". These abstractions gloss over important nuances in how the bitcoin system actually works, and creates a hazard for regulators, policymakers and academics who use these analogies to shape law and policy decisions. Over the course of this year, we will explore three primary areas where foundational legal research and explanation is most needed: => Property Rights in Blockchain Assets * Clearing and Settling Asset Transfers on the Blockchain * Counter-party Risk From Nodes on a Blockchain Network In this talk we will explore the first area of interest and try to unpack the basic property interests one can have in a bitcoin. About Patrick Patrick is a lawyer and expert on bitcoin and blockchain-based technologies. He will conduct research into the law and policy implications of bitcoin, distributed ledgers and smart contracts. Previously Patrick was a co-founder of the Bitcoin Foundation where he served at times as General Counsel and Executive Director. Patrick has engaged regulators and policymakers in the US and Europe on bitcoin and the emerging digital economy. He was named among America’s 50 Outstanding General Counsel for 2014 by the National Law Journal. Patrick also serves as President Board member for the BitGive Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on charitable giving and social impact using bitcoin.
