"Internet policy in Latin America: Between borderless governance and national initiatives" - Buenos Aires, 24 April 2015
Dear Friends, I am pleased to share information on the seminar discussing "*Internet policy in Latin America: Between borderless governance and national initiatives*" to be held in *Buenos Aires* on *24 April*, organized by the Centro de Tecnología y Sociedad at Universidad de San Andrés, and the Center for Global Communication Studies at University of Pennsylvania, within the series of regional meetings of the Global Network of Internet & Society Research Centers (NoC). The seminar looks at the challenges for *addressing Internet governance with national policy* instruments and institutions, with particular reference to Latin America. It will encompass panel discussions on "National and regional Internet Policy and governance initiatives: regulatory and institutional dimensions", "Challenges for the development of international and regional regimes: lessons for the Internet case", and "The Internet: international vs. national jurisdictional issues". Furthermore, it will host keynote speeches from *Bill Dutton*, Quello Center at Michigan State University, and *Juan Carlos De Martin*, Nexa Center for Internet and Society at Politecnico di Torino.
