Dear Friends,

I am pleased to share information on the seminar discussing "Internet policy in Latin America: Between borderless governance and national initiatives"
to be held in Buenos Aires on 24 April, organized by the Centro de Tecnología y Sociedad at Universidad de San Andrés, and the Center for Global Communication Studies at University of Pennsylvania,
within the series of regional meetings of the Global Network of Internet & Society Research Centers (NoC).

Please see the full program, and all practical details, at http://networkofcenters.net/event/2015/internet-policy-latin-america.

The seminar looks at the challenges for addressing Internet governance with national policy instruments and institutions, with particular reference to Latin America.
It will encompass panel discussions on "National and regional Internet Policy and governance initiatives: regulatory and institutional dimensions",
"Challenges for the development of international and regional regimes: lessons for the Internet case", and "The Internet: international vs. national jurisdictional issues".

Furthermore, it will host keynote speeches from Bill Dutton, Quello Center at Michigan State University,
and Juan Carlos De Martin, Nexa Center for Internet and Society at Politecnico di Torino.

Many thanks,

Raimondo Iemma
