Dear friends of the NoC, The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Internet and Society Fellowship <https://www.hiig.de/en/fellowship-2025/>! This programme offers researchers the chance to join an international team and contribute to a variety of ongoing projects at our institute in Berlin. Fellows have the opportunity to explore their own research interests and actively shape their experience within a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment. We particularly welcome applications from researchers working in one of our key thematic areas: - Human involvement in automated decision-making - Democracy and the role of research - The Digital Services Act and platform regulation - Generative AI in the world of work The fellowship runs from 1 May – 31 August 2025 (June mandatory), and applications are due by 30 September 2024.
