Fwd: Call for papers - Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom
Dear all, On the occasion of the visit in Italy of the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, Mr. Frank la Rue, the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies is co-organizing, together with the Open Society Foundations (OSF), a visit at the EUI. In particular the CFPM and OSF are scheduling an international conference on hate speech and the role of the media in balancing freedom of expression and ensuring diversity, which will take place in Florence the 26-27 March 2012. This will be the first official event of the CMPF and we are very glad to have the opportunity to do it in such a frame. The Centre welcomes the submission of papers on topics related to this conference, and we would be more than thankful if you could circulate this information among your colleagues who might be interested in submitting a paper.
