Senate Votes to Allow FBI to Look at Your Web Browsing History Without a Warrant The government just got even more power to spy on your internet habits as millions remain quarantined at home. by Janus Rose <https://www.vice.com/en_us/contributor/janus-rose> May 13 2020, 9:32pm https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/jgxxvk/senate-votes-to-allow-fbi-to-look-...
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- the Senate voted on Wednesday not to protect Americans’ internet browsing and search history data from secret and warrantless surveillance by law enforcement. The measure needed 60 votes to pass. It got 59. --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- L'emendamento che non è stato approvato è questo: https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cf... --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- Amendment Number: S.Amdt. 1583 to H.R. 6172 (USA FREEDOM Reauthorization Act of 2020) Statement of Purpose: To remove internet website browsing information and search history from scope of authority to access certain business records for foreign intelligence and international terrorism investigations. --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- Era quindi un emendamento al "2020 reauth act" dell'altro ieri, approvato a larghissima maggioranza: https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/03/12/152-house-democrats-join-gop-re... --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- The bill, formally titled the USA FREEDOM Reauthorization Act, cleared the House by a vote of 278 to 136, with 152 Democrats and 126 Republicans voting yes. --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- La saga delle proroghe e della sorveglianza globale continua...
