ACTA is on the ropes... time to relax? Not yet, meet the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP <http://www.mfat.govt.nz/downloads/trade-agreement/transpacific/main-agreemen...>), the new front in the War on Piracy^(TM). While there is already a trade agreement under this name, the TPP has been enhanced and in November last year the leaders of Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, and the United States announced a new proposed agreement <http://www.ustr.gov/tpp>. Much like ACTA, the TPP will operate as a multilateral trade agreement between the United States and selected trading partners.
