UPDATE! Some of you had trouble accessing our pad. So find the (most probably final) TEXT PASTED BELOW.
Also please consider relaying our call for contacting MEPs on the last remaining days (Monday -MEPs will be in Strasbourg in the afternoon-, Tuesday and Wednesday), against ACTA and beyond: https://www.laquadrature.net/en/winning-big-on-acta-and-beyond
Consider also relaying the PiPhone, our new tool for calling the MEPs left to convince *free of charge*: https://piphone.lqdn.fr/campaign/call2/acta-final-vote
You can add the PiPhone on your own website: http://piphone.lqdn.fr/campaign/addwidget2/acta-final-vote?setlang=en (there should be soon personnalization options including choice of a country)
The press release have been signed by 27 organizations so far, including Article19, EDRi, Telecomix, Reporters Without Borders, and Utopia (a network of independant cinemas in France, dear to my heart ;)
Feel free to reply to this mail to include the signature of your organization if you have trouble opening the pad, or to ask any additional question over the week end.

Down with ACTA! EU must protect our commons
ACTA threatens fundamental freedoms online, Net neutrality, innovation, access to and sharing of free/libre technologies and culture, essential medicines and seeds.
On Wednesday 4 July, the European Parliament will have an historic occasion to reject ACTA as a whole, burying it politically once and for all.
Members of the European Parliament of all political groups must follow the advice of the five parliamentary committees that issued opinions, all of which urge rejection of ACTA.
A definitive rejection of ACTA would represent a tremendous victory for citizens all around the globe, and for European democracy and citizenship.
Such a vote must also resonate with policy makers across Europe, acting as a wake-up call, urging them to break away from an endless cycle of repressive policies. It is time to reform copyright and patent regimes in favour of citizens and contributors to culture and innovation.
Access to and sharing of knowledge and culture are essential for building open and democratic societies. We urge European lawmakers to look beyond the rejection of ACTA and to work towards a new framework that nurtures our practices rather than destroying them, a framework fit for the digital age.

Dear Friends,
I send you this email because your organization signed our open letter against ACTA in december 2009
(http://www.laquadrature.net/en/acta-a-global-threat-to-freedoms-open-
letter)
FINAL, CRUCIAL VOTE IN PLNARY ON ACTA IS SET FOR WEDNESDAY, NOON!
We attempted to draft a short and simple press release that would bind the interests of Internet, Free Software, Human Rights, Access to medicines and to seeds activists.
Fortunately it is short and simple enough for quick validation.
You can check it on this pad and add the name of your organisation for a signature, but please don't modify the text unless it is *extremely* necessary:
