Meritocracy and Inclusion in Italy?
Dear NEXA... Sorry for my English... :-) Meritocracy and Inclusion in Italy? The research team (Palinsesto ETEE, etc.) has implemented new evaluation criteria under European palimpsests in order to enhance the implementation of "Soft skills" and "Unconventional Skills" in the young generation and in order to develop the future professional success of learners. They can't make it far in their career without a set of novel Skills ("Soft skills" and "Unconventional Skills") that make them valuable to future employers. To stand out from the crowd, however, be sure to also learn some novel skills that may not be taught in the curriculum everyone else is following. All the experiments were presented at International Cultural Events with good results. In reality these experiments contrast with those who support the implementation of "barrage tests" (“Test di Sbarramento”) as “efficient evaluation criteria”. At the end, very simple considerations can also be reported: "It is better not to use all types of tests and in particular those with multiple answers. In fact, Students with Special Educational Needs (BES) feel lost in reading and understanding questions, sentences, options, etc. ". All the experiments confirmed what has been declared, not only for BES, but also for the "excellence". The theoretical foundations refer to a vast literature review. In fact, it’s important to be clear about what our “formative” evaluation criteria are, and how important each one is. If we can clarify this before we collect and analyze data, we give ourselves a much better chance of being able to make a clear and sound “efficient” judgment. Many experts in legal disciplines also declared that there are difficulties in adapting these evaluation criteria (e.g "summative assessments", “barrier tests” and "non-formative" evaluations) with what is also explicitly declared in the Italian Constitution, and in international human right laws. In particular, we should also remember that International human rights law lays down the obligations of Governments to act in certain ways or to refrain from certain acts, in order to promote and protect human rights and fundamental rights of individuals or groups. E ci lamentiamo della fuga dei "talenti"? Vero deficit ... ? PS_ Talenti - rif.
