Carissimi, sperando di far cosa gradita segnalo la seguente Summer School (in allegato locandina e brochure): The Regulation of Robotics in Europe: Legal, Ethical and Economic Implications July 11-16th 2016, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Pisa Application deadline May 16th 2016 www.europeregulatesrobotics-summerschool.santannapisa.it We are pleased to announce the first edition of the International Summer School on “The Regulation of Robotics in Europe: Ethical, Legal and Economic Implications” ( www.europeregulatesrobotics-summerschool.santannapisa.it) This unique initiative, funded by the European Commission through the Jean Monnet Program, stems from the successful experience of the RoboLaw ( www.robolaw.eu) project and its subsequent developments. The aim of the summer school is to provide students with a broad understanding of the many relevant implications of the regulation of robotics in Europe by (i) Analyzing applicable European regulation and the standards enterprises need to conform to; (ii) Discussing the relevant ethical and societal issues existing and foreseeable; (iii) Analyzing the economic and management challenges robotic enterprises face The teaching body is extremely diversified, including Lawyers, Engineers, Philosophers, Business and Management Experts, many of which directly participated in the RoboLaw project, to provide the most interdisciplinary perspective. The coordinator of the Summer School is Dr. Bertolini, Assistant Professor of Private Law at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, and one of the leading experts in the regulation of robotics in Europe. Dr. Bertolini advised the European Parliament and Commission on multiple occasions in particular on issues regarding the regulation of robotics, liability and risk management and product standardization. His research is widely covered by national and international press, including The Economist, The Times, The Guardian, BBC Radio, Wired, Motherboard, Robotic Business Review. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE SUMMER SCHOOL IN PILLS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOCUS AREA: Law and Technology & Innovation Management AIM: To provide participants with a broad understanding of the many relevant implications of the regulation of robotics in Europe. TRAINING OBJECTIVIES: to provide students with a solid background and methodological approach to: 1) enter the market for consultancy services to businesses developing robotic products, 2) undergo independent research in law and technology, 3) understand the non-technological issues to take into account in robotic products design. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Students at an advanced stage of their university courses ( last year students ) or graduate students (master or Ph.D.) in law, political sciences, economics and engineering, interested in understanding the legal, ethical, social and economic issues raised by robotics. Young professionals working for policy makers or industries investing in or developing robotic products.
