Mycroft – The Open Source Privacy-Focused Voice Assistant
Our Promise We believe the future of AI should be open, not a cryptic black box only few understand and have control over. Building this new technology together, sharing ideas and building on top of each other—that’s how we see it. Mycroft is private by default. We promise to never sell your data or give you advertisements on our technology. https://mycroft.ai/ Beh, la "promessa" mi piace.

Ho provato Mycroft circa un anno fa, credevo contenesse interamente sw libero poi mi sono accorto che c'era il proxy su Google, come specificato nell'articolo. "According to the project, there simply is not a reliable open STT alternative that is on par with closed-source alternatives — hopefully that won't stay that way for long. As it turns out, privacy is not the only reason Mycroft proxies these requests — Mycroft is working with Mozilla's DeepSpeech project to build an open-source alternative to Google's STT service" Ho abbandonato temporaneamente Mycroft, tuttavia ora mi è venuto in mente e l'ho segnalato ugualmente nella lista perché mi è sembrata un'idea interessante (assieme al DeepSpeech di Mozilla) sul cui genere l'Europa potrebbe investire per creare alternative all'AI di Google/Apple/Amazon. Sì, ok, questi colossi non si servono dell'AI solo per l'STT, ma, un passo alla volta.
