per quel che vale, se può interessare lo dico pure io da un paio d'anni che IoT, 5G, auto autonome... sono, oltre a essere fuffa con ovvie, gravi implicazioni sulla privacy, anche irrealizzabili per semplicissime ragioni ambientali. Grazie Juan Carlos per averlo proposto: è un tema che sta molto a cuore anche a me. Alcune strategie sono di non facile lettura. Faccio un esempio citando uno dei punti della mail in calce: al momento le automobili stanno per il 90% del tempo parcheggiate e la guida umana è più discontinua e di pancia. Pensando ad un'utopia in cui ci sono solo veicoli autonomi che funzionano bene diminuirebbero consumi, potrebbe calare il parco auto e il tempo speso nel traffico. Conviene spendere energie e risorse per tendere a questo futuro o evitare proprio di pensarci, che l'atto stesso di farlo è inquinante e le promesse incerte? Personalmente sono molto scettico sul foraggiare alcune blockchain che hanno un'impatto ambientale altissimo, mentre di altre tecnologie vedo una potenzialità di leapfrogging. Ricordo con nostalgia una delle prime pagine che tradussi su Wikipedia che riguardava il green computing, quando ancora non aveva puntato l'interesse popolare. Una delle chiavi del tema era quello di valutare gli algoritmi e i processi che si sviluppano non solo dal punto di vista di tempo macchina, stile, efficacia, etc. ma anche valutarne l'efficienza energetica.
