Dear Net Futures Community,
In less than 10 days the
Net Futures 2017 conference will open its doors! Registrations are exceeding previous years – making it a great networking event.
Digitisation will have a huge impact on how industry works and how value chains and sectors interrelate. We all know that, but what are the concrete issues? What line of thinking and action do European actors want to take? What should be our tech-policy priorities to enable this science fiction in a safe and useful way for all? A number of sessions at Net Futures 2017 will deep-dive on into these thorny discussions, such as:
- Industrial Internet and the rise of cross-cutting Digital Platforms will engage representatives of selected vertical sectors like agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing, on stage. They will look into the challenges of industrial platforms and their links with other sectors of industrial internet like transport, heavy equipment & machinery, logistics.
- The Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation - AIOTI - was launched by the European Commission at the very first edition of the Net Futures conference 2 years ago. Today, AIOTI is an autonomous European association based in Brussels. At Net Futures 2017 they will lead a discussion amongst academia, industry, policy makers and users on how IOT can enable an ageing population to maintain an autonomous lifestyle. What are the real challenges for IoT? How can we turn them into opportunities in a practical way?
Share your experience, concerns and ideas during these sessions at Net Futures 2017.
