These projects are all innovating in the area of cyber-security risk analysis, with the aim of CyberASAP being to create a spin-out company to commercialise our capability in this area. The projects will involve collaboration with the University’s Future Worlds start-up accelerator space, many leading industry partners and other universities. You will be involved in the creation of an Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a spin-out company, assisting in all areas of work from front-end and back-end software engineering and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD), to market validation. This will provide you with an excellent platform for career development. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to software engineering necessary to create an MVP, the secure deployment and management of software in cloud providers using e.g. Kubernetes and the creative work required to design and build the necessary interfaces to present complex information to decision makers responsible for risk management. The projects also involve supporting technology acceptance experiments and trials, writing project reports, and presenting to the community and (if appropriate) the public. Essential skills include excellent Java, JavaScript, and ReactJS; an understanding and aptitude for cyber-security; and clear communication and presentation skills.
