leggendo i termini e condizioni del sito del Louvre, le riproduzioni digitali della collezione non sembrano essere in open access (https://collections.louvre.fr/en/page/cgu#ART3_EN):

4.1.1    Photographs representing works that are not protected by copyright

a.    Re-use free of charge

The downloading and re-use of medium-format photographs published on the collections website representing works that are not protected by copyright (hereinafter called the “Photographs”) are permitted, free of charge, for any non-collective use within a strictly private context and for the following exhaustively-listed museographic, scientific and educational purposes:
-    projection and distribution for the purpose of museographic, pedagogic and scientific activities, such as their reproduction on labels and exhibition signs, the presentation of guided tours, the running of educational workshops, the delivery of teaching and training sessions and the holding of symposia and seminars;
-    publication of exhibition and permanent collection catalogues, scientific papers and Ph.D. theses for publishers whose registered office is in the European Union, within a limit of one thousand five hundred (1500) copies, republication included:
-    digital scientific and educational publications.

Any use of one or more Photograph(s) must include photographic credits such as those provided on the collections website in addition to a permalink to the description of the work (entry) on the page on which the Photograph was downloaded.

b.    Re-use against payment

The use for any purpose other than those exhaustively listed in article 4.1.1 a. above, and particularly any commecial use such as the manufacture and distribution of derivative products, audiovisual and multimedia production and printed publications other than those referred to in article 4.1.1, must be the subject of a written request sent by the User to Rmn-GP via the website of its photography agency, photo.rmn.fr, or by email to agence_photo@rmngp.fr. 
The request must indicate the use or uses envisaged. 

The above uses are granted against payment, at the rates practised by Rmn-GP.

Il Musée du Louvre ha pubblicato la sua intera collezione di opere da visualizzare online gratuitamente.

“Per la prima volta chiunque può accedere gratuitamente da computer o smartphone all'intera collezione di opere, siano esse esposte nel museo, in prestito, anche a lungo termine, o in deposito”: così ha dichiarato il presidente-direttore del museo, Jean-Luc Martinez.

Si stima che siano state digitalizzate 482.000 opere d'arte ed ogni opera è abbinata a dati come dimensioni, materiali e tecniche, storia dell'oggetto e bibliografia.
