Dear all, Please spread the world regarding this job advertisement, An exciting opportunity opened up in our team of AI Ethics at UNESCO, We are looking to hire someone who will assist in the different efforts of implementation the Recommendation on the Ethics of AI, As part of the implementation, we are working with different countries around the world on assessing their readiness to implement AI, and assisting them with enhancing regulatory framework and institutional capacities, I am not objective, but the work is super interesting, cutting edge AI governance work, the team is fantastic, and Paris is never a bad idea! AboutI4C Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights (I4CAIHR)<https://i4caihr.net/> I4C Center for Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights aims to develop the capacity of civil society organizations, human rights defenders, technologists, researchers, academia, activists, youth on understanding the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the right to privacy, the rights to freedom of expression, assembly and association across South Asia. We believe it is imperative that policy makers, regulators, companies, civil society, and other stakeholders working on the right to privacy and freedom of expression understand the implications, risks and potential of AI on civic and human rights. We at Innovation For Change (I4C) Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights initiative aims to achieve the following: * Organise meetings and events that bring together an inclusive interdisciplinary working group of stakeholders (public and private sectors, academia, civil society) and experts that can interpret disruptive shifts in AI technology impacting South Asia. * Collaborate toward a global agreement on beneficial safeguards, transparency standards, design guidelines and confidence building measures. * Help world policymakers from all branches of governments and associated stakeholders (corporations and civil society) implement agreed upon rules and regulations at local and international levels. * Encourage governments to review the adequacy of any legal and policy frameworks, and regulations on AI with regard to the protection of freedom of expression and privacy; * Ensure accountability and transparency of AI with a multi stakeholder oversight towards working of AI systems and machine learning algorithms.
