Dear friends at Network of Centers: I have the pleasure to announce the very recent publication of my latest book, *LA INTERNET ABIERTA. Retos regulatorios de una Red nacida libre. *RDU, 2017. The book compiles and updates almost five years of periodic columns on the electronic version of Spanish daily newspaper ABC (ABC.es) (2012-2016). As a result, the reader will achieve quite a complete picture of the main regulatory issues concerning the Internet and the digital environment around the world, with particular emphasys in the European Union. *The work includes a Preface by Dr. Vinton G. Cerf*, as you know one of the main pioneers of the Internet. The underlying idea behind the book is the need to regulate those aspects around the Net that may certainly need it, while at the same time preserving the most uniquely identifying feature of this crucial invention, its open, free nature. Although the version already released is the one written in Spanish, *an English version is currently underway and will also be published in the next few months*.
