call for application Geneva Digital Law Research Colloquium (deadline April 17, 2024)/Digital Law Summer School
Dear NoC Colleagues, This is to inform you about two digital law events taking place in Geneva that our Digital Law Center organizes next June: 1. Digital Law Research Colloquium (June 19, 2024) The 2024 edition of our Digital Law Research Colloquium (DLRC) will take place on June 19, 2024 in the wonderful setting of the Hardt Foundation (https://www.fondationhardt.ch/en/) which is just outside the city of Geneva. The DLRC is organized by our Digital Law Center in collaboration with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society<https://cyber.harvard.edu/>, the CRIDES Center for Economic Law and Society at the Catholic University of Louvain<https://uclouvain.be/fr/instituts-recherche/juri/crides> (UCL), the Institute for Technology and Society of Rio<https://itsrio.org/en/en-home/>, Renmin University of China<https://www.ruc.edu.cn/en> and the Geneva Graduate Institute<https://www.graduateinstitute.ch/>. The DLCR constitutes a unique opportunity for young digital law researchers and scholars working on hot digital law & policy topics to present their work-in-progress to a global panel of digital law experts (coming from all the partner institutions involved in the DLRC) and to receive valuable feedback on their research from leading scholars and to be part of a growing global digital law research community (see the testimonials for the last colloquium https://www.digitallawcenter.ch/en/event/2024/DLRC2024). The deadline to apply for the Digital Law Research Colloquium is April 17, 2024. More information at: www.digitallawcolloquium-geneva.ch<http://www.digitallawcolloquium-geneva.ch/> 1. Digital Law Summer School (June 17 to June 28, 2024) Our Digital Law Summer School (DLSS) is a two week online education program which offers a unique opportunity to discuss cutting edge digital law and policy issues with leading academics, practitioners, representatives of international organizations and other leading global digital policy actors, including the <https://cyber.harvard.edu/> Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University, the International Telecommunication Union<https://www.itu.int/en/Pages/default.aspx> (ITU), the World Intellectual Property Organization<http://www.wipo.int/portal/en/index.html> (WIPO), and the CyberPeace Institute<https://cyberpeaceinstitute.org/>. The DLSS gathers a very diverse group of talented participants that build a dynamic global community of digital law experts and creates great opportunities for social and professional interactions and networking (and to be part of the growing community of DLSS alumni). The participants of the DLSS will be part of the Digital Law Research Colloquium (DLRC, see 1 above) and will thus have the opportunity to interact with the digital law researchers presenting their work at the DLRC. The deadline to apply for the Digital Law Summer School is April 15, 2024.
