The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Internet and Society Fellowship! This programme offers researchers the chance to join an international team and contribute to a variety of ongoing projects at our institute in Berlin. Fellows have the opportunity to explore their own research interests and actively shape their experience within a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment.

We particularly welcome applications from researchers working in one of our key thematic areas:

• Human involvement in automated decision-making

• Democracy and the role of research

• The Digital Services Act and platform regulation

• Generative AI in the world of work

The fellowship runs from 1 May – 31 August 2025 (June mandatory), and applications are due by 30 September 2024.
