The logic of current AI operates according to previsionary—i.e., anticipatory—models: it learns from the past (historical data) to predict future behaviors. This generates a conception of the future as a statistical extension of the present, and a mechanism of preventive control. This way of predicting the future kills the yet-to-come: there is no room for the unexpected, the impossible, the unprecedented. Relying on zetetics and constant questioning, which are philosophical approaches by nature, we wager on a necessary relation between the human and the technical, through a critical-poietic analysis as a manual for epistemic diversity and algorithmic justice. In light of this, we posit: beyond digital literacy toward the quantum-imaginal, where education and knowledge are the central points in the Knowledge Economy (Mangabeira Unger), grounded in imagination and creativity.
