Dear Colleagues,

This is to inform you that the University of Geneva organizes this year again the Geneva Internet Law Summer School that will take place from June 17 to June 28, 2019.

The Geneva Internet Law summer school offers a unique opportunity to discuss cutting edge Internet law and policy issues with leading academics, practitioners, representatives of international organizations and other leading global digital policy actors, including the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society (thanks to Chris Bavitz for his continuous participation!), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP).

This is also to inform you about the Geneva Internet Law Research Colloquium that will take place on June 21, 2019. The colloquium (which is  part of the summer school) is organized by the University of Geneva, in collaboration with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society (it will be great to welcome Urs Gasser again), the CRIDES Center for Economic Law and Society at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), the Geneva Internet Platform, the Institute for Technology and Society of Rio, the University of Zurich, Renmin University of China and the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche en Droit de l’Immatériel of  the University Paris Sud.

The colloquium, which is part of the Geneva Internet Law Summer School, provides researchers and scholars working on Internet law topics the opportunity to present their work-in-progress to a global panel of Internet law experts (coming from all the partner institutions involved in the colloquium), to engage with one another in an informal setting, to have in-depth discussions and exchanges, to receive helpful feedback and advice and to help create a global internet law research community (see the testimonials for the last colloquium: https://www.unige.ch/droit/pi/research/research-colloquium/research-colloquium2018/).

Please note that the deadline for applications is April 15, 2019 for both the summer school and for the research colloquium.
