Dear colleagues,
As many of you already know, the Latin American editions of the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) conference – originally planned for June 2020, at FGV, in Rio de Janeiro – has been postponed due to the Covid19 outbreak.
Considering the extremely difficult challenges determined by the current pandemic, the CPDP team (https://cpdp.lat/en/about-us/) has decided to try make the best out of the current situation and redefine the call for papers with some relevant updates. The call is now dedicated to Data Protection at a Time of Social Emergency: COVID-19, Democracy, Innovation and Regulation in Latin America and the most relevant updates include:
As mentioned before, Submissions in English that successfully complete the peer review process will be published in a CPDP LatAm special issue of the Oxford Journal of International Data Privacy Law, while submissions in Portuguese and Spanish that successfully complete the peer review process will be published in a CPDP LatAm special issue of Revista Brasileira de Direitos Fundamentais e Justiça [Brazilian Journal of Fundamental Rights and Justice] (Qualis A2)
The call is available in
English here https://cpdp.lat/en/call-for-rapid-response-papers/
Portuguese here https://cpdp.lat/pt-br/chamada-para-documentos-de-resposta-rapida/
Spanish here https://cpdp.lat/es/convocatoria-de-documentos-de-respuesta-rapida/
Please feel free to reach out should you have any questions
Best regards
Luca
