In case you are interested, next Monday 24 October, we will launch the CPDP LatAm 2022 publications at the “Artificial Intelligence and Data Transfers in Latin America” Conference, a satellite event of CPDP LatAm organised at the occasion of Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) https://cpdp.lat/ai-and-data-transfers-latam-22/  

 

The event is organised in partnership by Center for Technology and Society (CTS-FGV) and IDP 

The 1st session will explore the challenges of international data flows and their impact on AI governance in Latin America and will have a multistakeholder format, with UN Special Rapporteur for Privacy Ana Brian Nougrères; Laura Schertel, Adjunct Professor, CEDIS-IDP; Lee Matheson, Senior Counsel, Future of Privacy Forum; Jonathan Mendoza Iserte, Data Protection Secretary, Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI); Daniel T. Stivelberg, Coordinator of the Data Governance and Regulation group, Zetta; Paula Vargas, Directress of Privacy Policy for Latin America, Meta. 

 

The 2nd and 3rd sessions will be dedicated to the presentation of the CPDPlatam2022 publications (a special edition of Computer Law & Security Review, and a special edition of Revista Brasileira de Direitos Fundamentais e Justiça) and will be chaired by Nicolo Zingales and Ivar Alberto Hartmann.
