C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S HIIG Fellow Programme 2018 – Internet and Society The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) will be opening its doors to new Fellows in 2018! This international fellowship offers a unique opportunity to innovative thinkers who wish to engage in exchange with fellow researchers and are interested in setting up new initiatives. Our fellows are part of an international team of researchers and participate in the institute’s various active projects. We particularly encourage early-stage researchers to apply. Time frame: 3 – 12 months in 2018 Deadline: *1 October 2017 * *Opportunities:* Based in the heart of Berlin, the HIIG provides a dynamic intellectual environment for fellows to pursue their own research interests and actively shape their stay. We also invite fellows to collaborate with a growing international team of researchers and offer a number of opportunities to share and discuss ideas. *Key areas:* We are looking for individuals from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences who want to contribute to the range of the institute’s transdisciplinary internet research. Applicants should pursue topics that fall within one of our main research areas: • Evolving digital society: Relevant concepts and theoretical approaches • Relationship between actors, data and infrastructures in the digital society: Key factors of change • Knowledge dimension: Emerging patterns of research and knowledge transfer in the digital age *Application:* All application materials must be submitted electronically via the online application form until 1 October 2017.
